Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What is the WSCAD Beta Program?
The WSCAD beta program is a voluntary offer that gives you early access to pre-release versions of WSCAD ELECTRIX. You have the opportunity to test new functions before their official release and actively contribute to the further development of the software. Your feedback is very important to us – it helps us to improve the quality and user-friendliness of WSCAD ELECTRIX in a targeted manner. Your feedback enables us to identify errors, make corrections and adapt the software to the needs of users. Please note that the beta versions are software in the development phase. Errors or inaccuracies may still occur, as this version has not yet been finally released.
Who can take part in the program?
To ensure that only WSCAD software users participate in the beta program, participation is limited to customers with a valid maintenance contract or active rental license. Your serial number will be automatically verified during the registration process. To register for the WSCAD beta program, you also need a WSCAD login (the same access data as for wscaduniverse.com). If you do not yet have a WSCAD login despite your current license, you can register here free of charge.
How do I participate in the WSCAD beta program?
To participate in the WSCAD beta program, please log in with your WSCAD login or register again. When registering for the first time, please enter your contact details once. The e-mail address you enter and the password you choose will be valid for all WSCAD applications in future, including the beta software and wscaduniverse.com – the world’s largest E-CAD data library. Participation in the WSCAD beta program is reserved exclusively for customers with a valid maintenance contract or an active rental license. Your serial number will be automatically verified during the registration process. After successful registration as a beta tester, you will receive an e-mail notification to your registered e-mail address with the corresponding download link when a new test version becomes available. Your WSCAD login is required to open the test versions.
Where can I find my serial number to register for the beta program?
You can view your serial number at any time in the WSCAD software: To do this, open the menu Help → Info. Alternatively, you can find the number on each of your WSCAD invoices in the product description.
How do I get help with problems with the beta software?
If you need help installing or operating the beta version, simply send us an e-mail to betatest@wscad.com.
How do I report my feedback to WSCAD?
As this is a beta version, errors or deviations may occur. Please send us information about problems, questions or suggestions for improvement directly via the form integrated in the beta software under Help → Support ticket, or send us an email to betatest@wscad.com.
How will I be contacted about the WSCAD beta program?
We will inform you by e-mail about new program versions and all news about the WSCAD beta program. The notifications will be sent to the contact details stored in your WSCAD account. If you would like to update these, please send us a message to betatest@wscad.com.
Is the beta software confidential?
Absolutely. The WSCAD ELECTRIX beta software contains highly confidential information and is intended solely for your personal use as a registered beta participant. Therefore, install it only on a system that you control entirely and to which no third party has access. Disclosure or publication of the software’s contents to anyone outside the WSCAD beta programme is strictly prohibited, whether through conversation, screenshots, videos, blog posts, social media posts or any other means. Technical details only lose their confidential status once WSCAD officially publishes them.
What does it cost to participate in the WSCAD beta program?
Participation in the WSCAD beta program as well as the use of the beta software is free of charge.
How do I leave the WSCAD beta program?
If you wish to terminate your participation in the WSCAD beta program, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the end of one of our beta e-mails. Your participation will then be noted in the system as terminated and you will not receive any further information or test versions as part of the beta program.
What happens if I do not receive a confirmation e-mail?
In individual cases, the confirmation e-mail may not be delivered immediately. We will check possible causes manually and then contact you as soon as possible. Please understand that this may take some time. In the meantime, please also check your SPAM folder.
